Feapda congress 2011

20 until 23 October 2011

The FEAPDA congress 2011 will take place in the Netherlands, in Sint Michielsgestel. The topic of the congress will be "Literacy in deaf children". On this website you'll find all the information you need about the congress. All presentations and discussions will be in English. Please bring your own interpreter if you're not able to understand or join discussions in this language.

During the congress, there will be four keynote speakers, from different countries. They will all talk about different aspects of literacy development. All countries that are member of FEAPDA have the possibility to give a country presentation. Be sure to follow the time schedule, if you want to give a presentation at the congress.

Interpreters

Interpretation services in International Sign - English are provided by Irma Sluis and Maya de Wit. We have worked together for many years, interpreting as a team in a variety of multilingual settings in a combination of languages (NGT, ASL, German, English and International Sign). In addition, we just completed our MA in the European Master of Sign Language Interpreting (EUMASLI). We are looking forward to working with you.

You can subscribe yourself for the congress until October 10th!

Comenius funding

If you are a European Union national you may apply for a Comenius or Grundtvig grant (as part of the Lifelong Learning Programme). Look at "subscribe" for more information.

Congress fee:
Early bird fee (subscribe before August 15th): 190 euro
Late subscribers (subscribe after August 15th): 230 euro
Banquet (optional, saturday evening)*: 50 euro
Cultural programm (optional, sunday morning)*: 15 euro

*Note, these costs are not included in the congress fee.
